Missing Child

A child going missing is a serious incident.  If this happens, there should be no hesitation and all volunteers should assist in attempting to locate the child.

• Ensure all doors are being watched and group adults are watching other children in the tour.
• Ask a parent, teacher, or chaperone for a description of the child including and especially shoe color and write down.
• Inform other volunteers of the child’s name and description.
• Check all potential hiding places in the museum and elsewhere on the property.
• If child is not found within 5 minutes, call 911 and report a missing child.
