Our Duties

While the Boonsboro Visitor Center is a partnership between our organization and the Boonsboro EDC, our volunteers handle the majority of the program work.

The Boonsboro EDC provides information and occasional resources, as well as specific asset-related funding for upgrades and repairs to Visitor Center equipment.  The EDC and Town of Boonsboro also promote the Visitor Center and encourage volunteerism within the community.

Our volunteers staff and maintain the visitor center.

We are responsible for maintaining and stocking the brochure rack.

Greeters also provide local answers and recommendations regarding dining, recreation, and shopping in the area.  The next section will list many of these, and resources are available under the desk and in the Red Book to help you become more familiar with area offerings.

Museum staff also maintain the slideshow on the Visitor Center screen.  Any necessary changes should be directed to the Executive Director
