As a greeter, you help to build our visitors’ first impression!
Greeters are often the first person a guest will speak with when they enter our building.
Museum Greeters remain at the front of the museum behind the desk. From here, they provide basic information to questions, collect admission donations, and handle gift shop transactions. They also help visitors find information within the Boonsboro Visitor Center, and provide directions to local businesses or other sites as needed.
This position requires less history and exhibit familiarity than the Docent role, however some knowledge of the National Road and museum exhibits is beneficial.
Resources regarding tasks and procedures will be explained in “Introduction to the Greeter Role,” and both that information and information regarding local amenities and businesses can be found in the “Red Book” under the desk.
