Welcome to Boonsboro

In 2023, we redesigned the entire exhibit experience within the trolley station using a mini-grant from the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area.  Prior to that time, most exhibits were general town history photographs.

Much of the town content retained in the new exhibits was condensed to this display, introducing visitors to our town to several of our landmarks and a timeline of the town’s history.  An additional timeline which follows the construction of the trolley system to town was added to the town history timeline.

The timeline mentions the original parcels being laid out at the founding of the town, and this is accompanied by a map showing where each of these parcels were located.  Our property sits at a point marked on the map as “Warrenfeltz Spring.”

A phone on the wall is believed to have belonged to the Bowman family of local redware pottery fame.
