Many chains and local restaurants of all kinds can be found in Hagerstown. There are too many restaurants in Hagerstown to list them all here! While unique and enjoyable restaurants are spread throughout the entire city and beyond, many are centered in three distinct regions:
The southeastern edge of the City to Interstate 70 along US Rt. 40 offers quick access to many restaurants. Fast food chains, mexican restaurants, pizza shops and both chain and local diners are prominent here.
The southwestern edge of the city, near the I-70/I-81 interchange offers several chains, chinese and sushi, seafood, higher end sandwich and burger restaurans, and locally owned diners.
The core of the city offers a range of casual to fine dining experiences. Most restaurants here are unique to the local area.
A few other restaurants are found on the north edge of the city and just beyond the city limits into Maugansville, MD. One of the more unique restaurants is the Grille at Runways, where patrons can dine while watching aircraft at the Hagerstown Municipal Airport, just across the airport runway from the Hagerstown Aviation Museum.
