Bowman House Museum – Restored log cabin and home of local redware potter John Bowman.  One block to the west.

Brunswick Heritage Museum – History of a railroad company town, giant model railroad display.  Downtown Brunswick, MD.

Discovery Station Hagerstown – Children’s museum focusing on history, science and technology.  In Fort Richie, Cascade, MD.

Doleman Black Heritage Museum – Local African-American history & Culture.  On West Washington Street, Hagerstown.

Hagerstown Aviation Museum – Largest collection of Fairchild aircraft located in historic Fairchild assembly plant.  Beside Hagerstown Regional Airport.

Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum – Model railroad displays and railroad history exhibits, real trains outside.  Burhans Blvd. in Hagerstown.

Heritage Frederick – New exhibits about Frederick and regional history topics every year.  Church Street in Frederick.

Jonathan Hager House – Home of Hagerstown’s founder. Located in Hagerstown City Park

Miller House Museum – Historic home and County History.  West Washington Street, Hagerstown.

National Museum of Civil War Medicine – Civil War medical treatment exhibits.  East Patrick Street, Frederick, MD

Newcomer House – Visitor Center on the edge of Antietam National Battlefield

Pry House Field Hospital Museum – Civil War Museum beside Antietam National Battlefield.

Richie Museum – The history of Fort Richie and the translators, spies, and war heroes who trained there.  Fort Richie, Cascade, MD

Rose Hill Manor Park & Museums – Mansion owned by the daughter of Maryland’s first elected governor.  House museum, large carriage exhibit, recreated blacksmith shop, gardens.  North Market Street, Frederick, MD

Sharpsburg Museum – Town and Battle of Antietam history. In Sharpsburg Town Hall

The Conococheague Institute – Hands-on programs highlighting revolutionary and colonial farm life.  Near Welsh Run, PA.

Train Hub at City Park – Train exhibits and museum, climb aboard the last surviving Western Maryland Railway mainline steam locomotive.  In Hagerstown City Park.

Walkersville Southern Museum – Train history exhibit adjacent to train rides.

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts – Free, high-quality international art gallery, located in Hagerstown City Park.

Washington County Rural Heritage Museum – Campus of three exhibit halls and several preserved historic structures exploring Washington County history.  One building exhibits rare historic automobiles.  Sharpsburg Pike just north of Sharpsburg

Williamsport Town Museum – History of a canal town which was considered as a potential site for the US Capitol.  In Byron Memorial Park.
